The mass of the tailpiece has a direct and huge impact on the sound. A lightweight tailpiece provides greater harmonics and increased projection.
This ultra-light tailpiece is made by additive manufacturing in titanium alloy, a material that has excellent sound conduction. It is, to my knowledge, one of the lightest tailpieces on the market. Its impact on the sound is impressive, most people who try it can not live without it!
In order to meet everyone's needs, it is available in two versions:
– Sans tendeur : c’est la version la plus légère et la plus performante sur le plan acoustique. L’absence de tendeur va de pair avec l’utilisation de chevilles à réduction (par exemple Wittner Fine Tune ou Perfection Pegs). C’est le choix idéal des violonistes prêts à faire des concessions à la tradition, au profit de la performance acoustique.
– With a tuner on the E string: slightly heavier, this version remains incomparably light and remains compatible with the use of traditional friction pegs. It is the relevant choice of violinists who want to boost the performance of an old or traditional violin while preserving its spirit.
Each version is available in two different surface finish:
- Raw. Classy and unalterable, the appearance of titanium will give a discreet and sober touch of modernity to your instrument.
– Black (paint + matte varnish), in order to harmonize with a traditional ebony fitting, or with other dark wood or composite.
An adjustable nylon tailgut is included with each tailpiece.
